Consulting Credentials

Rex graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a B.A. degree in philosophy in 1971, and received his M.A. in Experimental Psychology from San Jose State University in 1981, and an M.S. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1992.  He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in April 1996.  He developed the first HRD strategic plan for NASA-Ames, and created, taught, or evaluated multiple management training courses for NASA.  For several years, Rex developed and taught a unique strategic management for non-profit agencies course at the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as several graduate level classes for Chapman University. Finally, having started 7 small business from the ground up, he intimately knows the rewards and punishments of entrepreneurship. Rex is also a Santa Cruz SCORE counselor and mentor working with entrepreneurs at all levels of start-up.

Rex has published several articles on small business topics, facilitated numerous management training groups in both profit and not-for-profit organizations, and has authorized or supervised over 75 publication caliber strategic plans and policies and procedures manuals.  He has attended numerous professional and management training seminars.  Rex is licensed and certified in administration of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Driver Decision Style Exercises, the Career Concepts Questionnaire, and Team View 360, all useful in management development.
