When I first saw a glossy red fire truck zooming down the road as a little boy, I knew then and there that I wanted to be a firefighter. Jamming down the road to put out a fire and save a person, to hear the clapping of the crowd as you come out with a child in your arms I knew that I wanted to save a person. Now that I am older I still want to be a fireman, and I think that Sacramento New Technology High School can help me make this dream come true.
SNTHS gives me the tools to make this true by teaching me skills that I can use in the workplace like a fire station. Teaching me skills like collaboration, work ethic, and critical thinking. All these skills can be used in this type of job. You need to collaborate with the other people who are also trying to put out the fire. You need to know that they will be there to support you and have your back and at the same time you need to have their back. Work ethic to know that you will do your job and do it to the best that you can. last but not lest critical thinking so that you know when something can and can’t be accomplished with out putting yourself in critical danger. All these skills can be learned though SNTHS and you can put them in real situations like being a Firefighter.
